Half way through the week! yes!

So today was another normal day at my job.  Today a girl that used to be an intern came back to start part time as a designer.  This morning was a little rough trying to find things to do.  For some reason today, I really just felt kind of beaten down.  This job is wearing on me I guess.  I really want to find a new job, and hopefully going to these events through IIDA and WID-KC will help with meeting lots of people.  The next events I'm going to are specifically for networking, so that is a plus!

Tomorrow Grant is coming over to have dinner with my dad and I.  This weekend I'm going to stay in town with Grant and probably just relax.  Of course since the weather has been AMAZING during the week, there has to be a forecast for rain this weekend.  I really can't complain; 60 degree weather in the end of January and beginning of February is RARE!  I do have plans for Sunday though!  Yes, this Sunday is Super Bowl Sunday, but neither of the teams are ones that I really care about so I may or may not watch the game.  If I do it will be more for the commercials, which I can watch online later anyway.  But my real big plan for Sunday February 5th, is to go to Target for the new Jason Wu line!  I have see some of the previews and the commercial, and it looks like some cute stuff!  And if it's anything like the craze for the Missomo (or however u spell it, which was really ugly in my opinion) stuff, it is probably going to sell out fast.  Below is the preview images, and a link to their site.

I really like this dress!  Cute clean lines and kind of retro.

Hope you guys have a good rest of your week, and an even better weekend!

  1. I'm sorry you're not enjoying your job. That makes it tough. I'm REALLY not right now either. :(

And I love that dress in the last picture. That is the PERFECT summertime picnic type dress. I hate the shoes that are with it, though.

  2. Thanks Janelle! Yeah, it sucks, but I'm trying to stay positive. It just gets harder and harder every day it seems to find the good out of the bad. Plus I feel horrible not making any money, knowing that I have had experience already. Its just a termporary placeholder till I can find something else, and that's just what I keep telling myself.

Yes, that dress is so adorable! I am definitely gonna have to try it on, on Sunday! :P And about the shoes, that's totally what I was thinking! Who wears black booties with a navy dress? lol and I totally didn't even think of this, but its totally your wedding colors! :D
